Develop your instrument and musicianship skills to a high level through studying arranging, improvisation and recording/ production skills. Work together on composing songs, releasing albums or putting on a show. Perform at Te Auaha and play gigs at music venues around Wellington.
Develop your skills. learn different styles and play in a band. Learn alongside industry professionals, create original songs and gig in local venues.
Our students get the opportunity to gig with prominent artists which have previously included Annie Crummer, Warren Maxwell, Bella Kalolo, Barnaby Weir and Karl Steven.
Programme outline
Study composition, songwriting, recording and production, instrument studies (including the voice). In the third year, students build on the knowledge they have acquired to create and perform an original body of work.
The Bachelor of Creativity (Music) includes both core courses and the option to enrol in electives.
